Student Photo - First Day!!

I am linking up with the Heart of the Matter's Not Back-to-School Blog Hop!  This week is student photo week which is perfect because today was our official first day!! :-) 

Everything went well ... not smoothly ... but that will take time.  I know that it will take us some time to really get into the swing of things.  Like which subjects to do when and in what order.  Today we just went down the list.   We were done by noon (we started at 8:30) and B still had plenty of time to play with his friends so he was happy about that.

Last night I realized that we won't have to deal with the night before the first day of school anymore.  B used to get really nervous and upset to the point of tears.  He had trouble sleeping and it lasted about the first week.  No more!!  Last night was fine and this morning he was ready to go!

And the dreaded first day picture.  He was thrilled!  Can you tell how much he LOVES to have his picture taken? 

Lastly, we decided to make cupcakes for lunch as a first day celebration.  They got to decorate them with sprinkles and gummi worms too!  Yum!  The public school doesn't start for another 2 weeks, so C & E could help out with the festivities.  I can't wait until they are all home next year!!

Day 2 tomorrow!  Now that we have the first one under belt (plus the cupcakes), I think we both feel much better.
